JHL Civil has recently been announced successful tenderer for the design, supply and construction of a 5 ML steel bolted tank (with liner) and all associated appurtenances, pipework and fittings for storage of Class A recycled water on behalf of Western Water.
Western Water has recently completed the commissioning of the Class A Recycled Water Plant located at Surbiton Park, Mt Cottrell (nearby Melton South). The Class A plant contains an existing 3.5 ML storage tank (No. 1) at the end of the treatment train, from which Class A water flows to a recently completed pumping station for transfer to recycled water customers including a third pipe network.
Western Water intends to construct a new storage tank (No. 2) at Surbiton Park to provide additional storage to meet interim demands. In the future, once additional storage is constructed in the recycled water system, this tank may provide additional capacity for chlorine contact time to meet the increased Class A plant capacity in the future.
The works are expected to be complete by November this year.
